7 Female Students Die In Kano School Dormitory Fire Incident

Kano

Seven female students have been confirmed dead after a fire engulfed their dormitory inside their boarding school in Jogana village, Kano yesterday night.
Eyewitnesses say the fire started at about 9pm when most of the students had gone to bed.

As many as 25 of them sustained injury as they tried to flee the scene of the fire through the only two exits made available.
The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
