Controversy trails demolition of church in Ogun

The demolition of a multi-million naira branch of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), located within Obasanjo Hilltop along the Presidential Boulevard, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, has continue to

generate controversy as the government had revealed that the building contravened the building plan of the estate.

The church is being headed by a former law-maker in Ogun State, Hon Remmy Hazzan, and its construction had been on since 2013 and was at the roofing level when the government rolled out caterpillars, on Friday, to pull down the magnificent structure.
As at the time the building was being pulled down, workers at the site and church members on ground burst into tears, because they could not believe their eyes and shouting “JESUS!!!"
