The Kano State Film Censorship Board has closes down 50 strip clubs

The Kano State Film Censorship Board has closed down about 50 strip clubs and 100 game clubs due to underage prostitution taking place in these establishments and the increasing number of truancy among children.

The executive secretary of the board, Ismail Afakallah, said that apart from underage prostitution, some of the girls have been impregnated by clients and club staff and then abandoned. Stating a case of two teenage girls who were impregnated in one of the houses.
