A suspected Boko Haram member has been apprehended in a failed attempt to detonate an explosive device in a crowded area.

Imam Imam, Media Aide to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state today, 25th of December, tweeted a photo of a suicide bomber who was arrested in Gombe state.
Reports have it that the male suicide bomber in the Billiri area of the state who disguised as a woman was nabbed before he was able to detonate a bomb attached to his body. The suspect was malhandled by the angry mob before he was handed over to security operatives for investigative purposes.
Tragedy was averted as a major bloodshed would have taken place barely 48 hours after the honourable Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed declared that the Federal Government has won the war against Boko Haram insurgency in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria.
