A few online platforms published a report this week claiming Adams Oshiomhole’s new wife Iara Oshiomhole had filed for divorce after complaining that he was too fetish. This report has been rubbished in a statement released today. Iara’s spokesperson described the report “as warped imagination of the purveyors of lies” insisting that Iara had no reason to leave her husband as their marriage is strong.

Following President Buhari’s Mutual Legal Assistance agreement wi th the United Arab Emirate on the repatriation of stolen funds and extradition of indicted officials, the Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, met with the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Mahmud Muhammad Al- Mahmud today in Abuja.

Yesterday, there were reports that the Olumofin brothers, Joro and Dokun Olumofin were turned back from Toolz and Tunde Demuren's traditional wedding by the bride and groom's parents. Metuh is standing trial for receiving N400m from embattled former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki. He is also standing trial for destroying the statement he made to EFCC on January 12th. The Ogun State government says 40 legacy projects which cut across the three senatorial districts of the state will be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari during the 40th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State from the Old Western Region. The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa made this known on Friday  at a press briefing in Abeokuta, the state capital where programme for the celebration was unveiled by the government.

A former police officer convicted of raping and sexually victimizing women while on duty in a low-income Oklahoma City neighborhood was ordered Thursday to spend the rest of his life in prison. Jurors had recommended that Daniel Holtzclaw be sentenced to 263 years in prison for preying on women in 2013 and 2014.   District Judge Timothy Henderson agreed, said Holtzclaw will serve the terms consecutively and denied his request for an appeal bond.
